Description
Bigi Grechetto
The Bigi winery began life in a former Francisiscan monastery in Orvieto, which had been confiscated by the Italian government in 1870. In 1972, they moved to more modern cellars in Ponte Giulio.
Bigi has 145 hectares under vine in the Orvieto DOC, on clay soils and hilly terrain ranging between 150 and 450 metres above sea level.
This wine is exclusively from Grechetto, the principle grape used in Orvieto white blends. Fermenting and ageing in stainless steel, producing a clean, fresh, and floral white wine.
- Expect intriguing aromas of cherry blossom and fresh almonds. Enjoy flavours of green plum, green apple and citrus on the palate
- Bigi Grechetto is a versatile summer wine that is both enjoyable as an aperitif, or paired with fish, salads, and roasted fennel
