Founded by Jasper Newton “Jack” Daniel in Lynchburg, Tennessee. The distillery has been producing American whiskey using the unique charcoal mellowing process since the 1870s. This process, which involves filtering the whiskey through 10 feet of sugar maple charcoal, imparts a distinctive smoothness that has become synonymous with the Jack Daniel’s brand.
